The new outdoor season will soon be upon us here are a few details for members of how things will pan out.

Registration will be on Saturday 5th April 2pm.

The green will officially open on Saturday 12th April (weather permitting) and our President Tina will bowl the first wood to start us off, members and friends are welcome to then stay for a roll up refreshments will be available.

This years joining fee is £40, social members is £5 & casual bowlers membership is £30, (includes roll ups friendlies & cup games, but not club competitions and leagues games).

If you have not already given the secretary your email address / mobile number please include these on your membership form.

Captains this year are : J. Farrington, Ian Munday Stuart Anderson John Kemp, Alan Walker is our friendlies captain.

Team sheets will be displayed in the clubhouse on the notice boards.

A fundraising event was held on Sunday 23 February 2025 at the Whittlesey Indoors Bowls Complex to raise  funds for our club.

Members enjoyed a game pie lunch and apple crumble pudding, entertainment was provided by Dale Diamond. It was a great success as over £600 was raised which will help to purchase much needed equipment to maintain our bowling green.

Past members Ian Munday and Martin Brown , where presented with the Winners Trophy by Club President Tina Brown, after reigning victorious at our Past Members Club Competition. 

Well done to Ian and Martin, and a massive thank you to all those that came to compete.

The end of season 2024 saw the Foxes team lead by Ian Munday being promoted to the premier league next year, the team fought hard to achieve this win and are looking forward to the challenges of the higher league next season.

Our club president Tina |Brown & club chair Jennie Farrington congratulated the players on their achievement wishing them well for the 2025 season.

On Sunday 21st April our Club Members took part in the annual Presidents Plate Competition. 

After a amazing afternoon of bowling our President was delighted to award the Plate to this years winners - Penny Hart, Harry Fidler and Brian Harding. 

A hude thank you to everyone who took part and made this annual tradition a huge success. 

Yesterday, Sunday 14th April, saw the season opening of the green at Whittlesey Town Bowls Club. The sun came out, and the green was looking at it's best when the Club President was the first member to place a bowl on the green in 2024.

It was also an opportunity for members to proudly wear our new Club Shirts. These have been kindly sponsored by The New Crown Public House, which is situated next to our Bowls Club. Jonathan and Louise (owners of The New Crown) took time out of their busy Sunday to join us for our Opening Day for 2024. Everyone at the Club would like to pass their thanks to Jonathan and Louise for Sponsoring the shirts.

If you are interested in becoming a member at our Cub please contact us. No bowling experience is needed and you can be ensured of a very warm welcome and making a host of new friends, while being able to learn all the required skills to master this great sport.

Over the last couple of weeks work has been carried out around the Club to ensure that it is ready for the start of the new season on 14th April. The fences and gates have been re-stained and the hallway within the Club House has been repainted. 

Most importantly a lot of hard work has gone into getting the green ready for bowling. Many hours have now been spent tending to the green, and it is now only a couple of cuts and a few days away from being bowled on. 

The Club would like to thank all of the members that have put in a lot of time and effort into getting us 2024 ready.
